By downloading or using SweetSpot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: SweetSpot provides educational information only and is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Sweetener scores are illustrative estimates based on published research. ALWAYS consult healthcare professionals before making dietary decisions, especially if you have diabetes, PKU, kidney disease, or are pregnant or nursing.

1. Educational Purpose

SweetSpot is an educational tool that provides information about sweeteners for informational purposes only. The app does not provide medical advice and should not be used to make medical decisions. Individual responses to sweeteners vary. Always verify product labels before purchase.

2. Subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
No refund is provided for the unused portion of a subscription period
Any free trial period will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Submit false or misleading product information
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Scrape or bulk-extract sweetener data
Impersonate another person or entity

4. User Contributions

When you contribute product information (photos, ingredient lists, barcodes), you grant SweetSpot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content to improve the service for all users. You confirm that you have the right to share this information.

5. Limitation of Liability

SweetSpot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any health decisions made based on information provided by the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you have paid for the app in the preceding 12 months.

6. Age Restriction

SweetSpot is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. By using this app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. All personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy and the European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
